We're having new windows put into our bedroom and the guest bedroom. While they're working Betty went out and did some ground work with the horses - first with Morgunn and then with Sugar (picture to the left).
She's pretty good with the horses and both are pretty good at doing round pen work. They're responsive and respectful.
I so appreciate people who not only rise above their issues, but even more enjoy life in the midst of them. That's one reason Betty and I support Wounded Warriors.

On Thursday, we worked with Sugar and Morgunn for the third time this week. I continued to work with Sugar on the ground - this picture is her ground tied which she does well. She's almost completely shed out and looks pretty good to my eye.
Betty had her best day on Morgunn. He's a strong, somewhat headstrong horse and she's doing a good job communicating with him through her hands, seat and legs. Hopefully, we'll get a couple of days next week as well.
When I was a kid, most of the movies I loved probably had a creature created by Ray Harryhausen. He died on Wednesday, May 7, at the age of 92.
Here's a compilation of all his creatures. If you're over the age of 25, you have probably seen at least one of these creatures. My favorites were the fighting skeletons with swords.
At least for Betty.
I can't ride until June at the earliest because of my surgery, but Betty is working again with Morgunn. While she rides him, I have been doing a little ground work with Sugar - nothing strenuous, just changes in direction, getting her to follow me, backing, etc. It's a way for me to stay in touch with her.
Betty did well with Morgunn given it's been over a month since she worked with him. He does a whole lot better when she gets him moving forward at a good pace. She actually has more control of him when she moves him out - even doing circles and figure eights. She did a good job with Morgunn and finished on a good note.
