Leaving on a Jet Plane

Early tomorrow morning, (yawn!) we board a Southwest flight for Chicago and then another to Columbus, Ohio.  We’re going to visit with family for 10 days.

The first part of our trip will be with my sister and brother-in-law in Bowling Green, KY.  While we’re there we’ll attend a family reunion on my side.

Then we’ll head down to Franklin, TN to visit with Betty’s stepmother and sister.  Finally, we’ll head up to Mount Vernon, OH and spend a long weekend with our son, daughter-in-law and grandson.

I scheduled a few posts while we’re gone so you can check it if you wish.  Live posting will return about the middle of July.

Be good while we’re gone and stay out of trouble.

More “I Love New Mexico”

The other day Betty took this picture of our quail family (or one of them anyway) returning to dine in our courtyard.

Then this past weekend I found this bundle in our garage when I went out to feed the horses in the morning.  That means he/she spent the night in our garage – and the rabbit pellets in that area confirmed it.

Yep, only in New Mexico – love it.

Monday Video – Pacific Star II

The Pacific Star II Project was conceived by Colin Rich. He set up 2 cameras, insulated them in a Styrofoam box and attached the box to a weather balloon. The cameras were programmed to take 3 pictures every 3 minutes and then shoot a minute of video and this video is what came out of it.  Enjoy.

Happy Fourth of July!

There was a Tea Party in Douglas County, Georgia in early June.  The main speaker was a man named Herman Cain.

During the Q&A after Mr. Cain’s speech, a man named Lewis, a former Marine, expressed concern about what our young people are not learning about our nation.

Watch and listen to what happens.  It’s a good reminder of what the Fourth of July is all about.

Friday Funny – Sprinkler Time

July 1 – 43 and, God Willing, Counting

Today is our 43rd anniversary.  We exercised this morning and met with a couple for premarital counseling.

Tonight we head for one of our favorite Corrales restaurants, Indigo Crow, for dinner.

Most of all, we’re blessed and thankful for all 43 years.  We don’t know how many more years God will grant us, but we’ll try to enjoy each and every day.
