Filler Time Again

Again, nothing special going on in our lives - which is not a bad thing. It's windy again here in the Land of Enchantment. We have a dinner at church tonight.

So, I thought I would share some funny pictures I ran across recently. They are pictures taken by our brave men and women who are protecting us in Iraq. It shows that, despite being away from home and families and being in circumstances that are at best stressful and at worst life-threatening, they still maintain a sense of humor.

The first is man's best friend spotting for his sniper buddy.

The second is an example of our mobile army using local resources to be mobile.

In 1895 Hawaii shipped the first shipment of pineapple to the US. In 1914 the brassiere as patented. In 1921 "The Sheik" starring Rudolph Valentino was released. In 1955 the first live broadcast from a foreign country, Cuba, was presented on NBC. And in 1982 the Vietnam Memorial was dedicated in Washington, DC.
