The last time we trailered Sugar and Morgunn it was down to the arena here in Corrales. Morgunn usually loads very easily into the trailer when we leave home, but he's not as easy to load when we want to come home. It usually takes 5 to 10 minutes to get him to load.
This last time at the arena Morgunn didn't want to load at all. We both worked with him for over an hour before we finally got him to load without forcing him in.
So, Wednesday morning, our first task was to practice loading and unloading with both of the horses. We had the trailer hooked up to our truck. The first try, Morgunn was resistant again, but he loaded after about 10 minutes. Sugar was a little prancy as well. The second try went better and the third was the best of all so we stopped there.
We took them into our back lot, saddled them and worked them for about 40 minutes. They did pretty well.
All in all a good work day for Sugar and Morgunn.
Friday, we'll trailer them back down to the arena for some more gait work and we'll see how they load both going and coming.

Trailering... always a challenge isn't it. But it seems once they get it they are good after that.
I sent Molly to trainer for this issue, but I haven't practiced since. This post is timely reminder
Sounds like Morgunn loves to go places, but doesn't want to return back home. Like a little kid who is having way too much fun at the park :)
