Sunday Reflection–Thank You

Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many. (2 Corinthians 1:11)

‘The prayers of many.’

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in late November.  Since then there have been so many people who have supported me in prayer (and continue to do so) and there has been ‘gracious favor granted’ to me in answer to your prayers.  The cancer seems to be all removed and, God willing, it hasn’t spread.

So thank you so much to all of you who prayed for me --

My loving wife Betty who is my biggest support.

My special sons and their families: Wade, Marie, Juliet and Leah and Chris, Tracy and Javier.

My extended family – My sister Jane and her husband Hack and their sons: Gary and Kelly and his neat wife April - Margie, Betty’s sister; Betty’s brothers and their families: Bill, Noel and Galen; Jim, Melissa, Leslie, Tom, Patrick and Michelle - Nita, Betty’s wonderful stepmother and her nieces and their friends - Betty’s cousins, Bob and James and their families - my Aunt Mary Frank and Aunt Ruth and all of my cousins.

The wonderful parents of my daughters-in-law: Gary and Nancy Jo and Larry and Virgie.

All of my church family in Destiny Center.

My good friends at Galloping Grace Youth Ranch – especially my special friends Max and Michelle - and Trish who has walked this road before me.

My wonderful neighbors: Carolyn and Susan plus our manure shoveling kids Evan and Maritsa and their family.

My shipmates from my Navy ship, THE USS WILLIAM H. STANDLEY (DLG32).

Our international horse friends: Margie and Lane, Saskia, Bernadette and Geoff.

And finally all of you, my blogging friends and you know who you are.

As Harry Bailey said to his brother George in the movie “It’s A Wonderful Life” -

“A toast to my big brother George: The richest man in town.”

I feel pretty rich right now.
